A 150cc Bauer
A well known bicycle company. From 1936-54 the Bauer factory built a range of Sachs or Ilo engined motorcyles, mopeds or scooters. In 1952 the factory built it's own 250cc OHV single cylinder engine. This engine had a rear facing exhaust port and forward facing carburettor. This arranement lead to over-heating and low horsepower. Development of this machine drained the company's resources leading to its closure as a motorcycle manufacturer.
