Motorcycle Awareness Ride This Sunday In Cowtown !!

Sunday is the annual charity ride for the victims of brain injury (URSA). I'm not sure if there's a connection there somewhere...LOLOLOL....but the ride leaves the Deerfoot Mall north parking lot at noon on Sunday with registration from ~9:00AM on. If the weather is as good as promised we should have 700+ bikes show up for the 80 mile ride, with about 15 miles through the city and the rest in the country. Everything on 2 wheels shows up....from the sublime (my cherry '76 Indy) to the ridiculous (our mayor riding a borrowed Harley). Lots of yacking and looking at bikes and acquaintance renewing for a couple of hours before the ride actually gets underway. The ride ends up at the Symons Valley Ranch with food, drink, live entertainment (country band), more yacking and some nifty door prizes. Tell your friends and neighbours. Who knows.....if Muzza shows up on his Titan, he'll probably get the long distance trophy....but I KNOW he'll have stiff competition in the UFOB contest. LOLOLOLOL Should be 5 or 6 Buffaloes and 1 or 2 Rotaries and my 550. One year a guy even showed up on an X6 which had been semi-restored. Unfortunately, 1995 was the last time there was a Titan at the ride, although it WAS a very nice modified street bike....a medium metallic green with street chambers, racing style seat/tank combo, clipons, dual disks, etc, etc. I wonder where it went..??? More to follow after the ride.
