Izhmash has been in production (as Ish, Izh or Izhmash) since 1928. the Izhmash factory at Izvesk built 1200 and 750cc V-twins, 200cc two strokes and a 500OHC at first. In 1938 a 350cc twin was produced in large numbers. The 350cc Jupiter twin was produced after the war while the single cylinder 350cc Planeta is still in production. The Planeta produces 32bhp at 6500rpm.
