Well, what could I do, there had to be a Triumph Twin here somewhere! Representing a horde of British parallel twins the Speed Twin is most commonly held to be the start of an era. An era of vibrating, but good sounding and good handling twin cylinder machines. What can one say, the Speed twin spawned a range of imitators and went on to power the masses of the British Empire and Commonwealth for years to come until mis-management, lack of development and poor quality control spelt the end in the 1980s (finally). Along the way fine machines such as the Bonneville thrilled riders aching for raw adrenalin charged power in a basic package.
